Officer Langelier and K9 Conrad

Conrad’s handler Oxnard Police Department Officer Nathan Langelier, was hired with OXPD in October 2013, and started patrol in 2014. He has worked in many assignments, including: Patrol, Beat Coordinator (Neighborhood Policing Team), Defensive Tactics Unit, Explorer Advisor, Homeless Liaison Officer, and he's excited about his newest assignment on the K-9 Unit.

K-9 Conrad is a two-year-old Dutch Shepherd. He was named in honor of Conrad Alvarez, a huge supporter of the Oxnard Police K-9 Unit. Conrad Alvarez, an Oxnard local, was a pillar of the community and long-standing member of the Chief's Advisory Board. After Mr. Alvarez's recent passing, the Canine Unit is honored to name one of our newest K-9 Officers after him.

K-9 Conrad is currently patrol-certified and certified in gun detection. On his time off, he likes rolling around the back yard and bark at his Frenchie brothers.
